Emery Reynolds from the State of Colorado's Public Safety Community joins the TA
March 9, 2006, Washington, D.C. - We are pleased to announce that Mr. Emery Reynolds has joined the 800 MHz Transition
Administrator. Emery comes to the TA with over forty years of experience in Public Safety and over thirty years in the Public Safety
Telecommunications Industry. In his most recent role as State Interoperability Executive Committee Chairman (SIEC) for the State of
Colorado, Emery has been responsible for the management and development of a statewide interoperability plan and worked with major
industry vendors, such as Motorola, M/A-COM, EF Johnson, and Kenwood to address Public Safety interoperability issues. In recent years,
he has managed the design, installation, and operation of a multi-site, multi-agency, 800 MHz Analog Trunking System.
Emery holds several prominent positions in the public safety community. He is a life member of the Association of Public Safety
Communications Officials (APCO); a former APCO Executive Council Member for the State of Colorado, where he has also served as APCO's
Radio Frequency Coordinator/Advisor for the past 25 years; served as the Vice President and Board Officer of the Consolidated
Communications Network of Colorado (CCNC); and operated as the Chairman of the FCC's Region 7 700 MHz Committee since April 2001.
Emery also served as Chair of this same region's 800 MHz Committee. With Emery's breadth of knowledge and expertise in the Public
Safety community, he will be instrumental in supporting the TA in its efforts to address the rebanding issues and concerns facing
Public Safety.
